Chapter 1435: Ending 1: The Fire of No Regrets_7
“The Southern Hemisphere of the ‘Reality’osphere, on an ind farthest from thend, the setting sun was resplendent, and the sea breeze was gentle.”
A figure shrouded in dark grey mist reclinedzily on a beach chair made of shells and pearls.
His face was obscured by the grey fog, making it hard to discern his true appearance, and bystanders could only detect that his gaze was constantly focused on the waves that fluctuated with the sea breeze.
A few steps away from this grey figure, the Assassin Angel raised his right hand, forming a light orb in his palm that emitted a gentle luminous warmth.
He directed the light of the orb with his thoughts, weaving it into a tangible beam of light that fell upon the grey figure and prated his body.
A prolonged hum came from the tip of the grey figure’s nose, carrying a sense of relief and satisfaction as if he had finally fulfilled a long-standing craving for a cigarette.
...
“I specifically arranged a clone inside the Inner Cosmos to help you gather the Light of the Sacred Fire.”
The Assassin Angel released his right hand, allowing the orb of light to hover mid-air, autonomously transferring the Light of the Sacred Fire to Senati, whoy on the pearl shell beach chair.
If it weren’t for the fear of being traced by the Extraterrestrial Eternity, Senati would have used the barriers he set up in the Inner Cosmos to absorb the Light of the Sacred Fire long ago.
He had been weakened to the extreme because he had not bathed in the Sacred Fire for years.
The orb of light brought by the Assassin Angel merely refreshed him slightly, nowhere near enough to help Senati recover his strength.
However, everything would get better.
Once the infiltration of the Extraterrestrial Eternity into the Inner Cosmos was cleared, and the enemies who had always been contesting the control of the Barrier of the Inner Cosmos with Senati were eliminated, Senati would be able to absorb the Light of the Sacred Fire through the Inner Cosmos Barrier without any concerns.
“Can we trust that mortal? How much do you know about him?” the grey figure half-lying on the beach chair asked in a feeble female voice.
The Assassin Angel turned his body toward the sea, his tone calm:
“I know his entire past. He was created by the Scroll Angel…”
The Assassin Angel recounted the origin of Nnd Lee, from Nnd’s emergence to his eptance of the Scroll Angel’s arrangement to enter the Outer Space with the ‘Heart of Magic’, up to him aiding himself and falling into the illusion of the mind stem.
When the Assassin Angel mentioned what Nnd saw in the illusion, he paused:
“… Nnd said he experienced death in the illusion. You and I were severely injured and disappeared, ‘Command’ was captured by the Extraterrestrial Eternity, and he himself was killed by Void Spears. After he died in this deep illusion, he returned to the Starry Sky where the illusion began, touched the digit ‘0’ next to that me again. After this, he woke up from thea, seeing both me and the clone of ‘Command’, as if everything had restarted.”
The Assassin Angel asked:
“Do you think he has returned to reality now? Or does he, I, you, and ‘Command’, actually enter another illusion created by Vaana? It’s not impossible, and Vaana has the power to do this, even though She has already…”
The tone of the Assassin Angel was somber, feeling regret and sorrow for the fate of the Angel of Heart, and his hatred toward the Extraterrestrial Eternity grew.
Senati was silent for a long time, as if recalling the past or contemting the question posed by the Assassin Angel:
“…Concerning the content of the illusion, what else did the mortal named Nnd Lee mention?”
“He mentioned ‘Din Paradise.’” The Assassin Angel emphasized a bit:
“He said that in that deep illusion, I introduced him to the origin of ‘Din Paradise’. The illusionary version of me exined ‘Din Paradise’ as a fictional force in a celestial game created by Vaana. The illusionary me also told Nnd that due to the profound influence of this game, adored by the gods within the Star Pce, members of the Star Pce often refer to the real Sacred Fire as the ‘Fire of St. Din’.”
The Assassin Angel took a deep breath:
“Isn’t that utterly incredible? That the illusionary version of me would introduce ‘Din Paradise’ to him like that!”
“Hehehe…” Senati chuckled, herughter weak but conveying indescribable emotions, unclear whether she was mocking the Assassin Angel for getting so worked up over such a trivial matter, or simplyughing.
Theughter persisted for a couple of minutes, ughing until she coughed on the beach chair. Senati finally gradually stifled herughter.
She gestured toward the orb of light floating beside her.
The orb of light flew into Senati’s hands.
Senati gripped the orb firmly and pped it onto her chest.
In a sensation almost painful yet tingling, Senati’s body twitched slightly as she forcibly absorbed the orb into her body, converting it into her own power.
Within a few breaths, the grey mist around Senati dense, no longer as ethereal and wispy as before.
“Someone has already devised a strategy for us to defeat the Extraterrestrial Eternity.”
Senati, supporting herself on the armrest of the pearl shell beach chair, slowly and steadily stood up.
She spread her arms toward the sea, making a gesture as if to embrace the afterglow of the sunset:
“Perhaps we all misjudged Vaana, She has always been the smartest among us, smarter even than Star God.”
The Assassin Angel silently nodded.
Senati was right, in terms of strategy, Vaana ranked first within the Star Pce, and Star God at most ranked second.
The mind illusions created by Vaana were immensely close to reality.
She could repeatedly simte the past and the future within the illusions, manually delete failed illusions, then restart the illusions to begin new simtions.
