Chapter 1312: 426. Space Erasure

“These yers are truly fierce,”
Nnd Lee observed from the edge of the battlefield, clicking his tongue at the fearlessness of the yers.
The insurance service provided by the United Bureau eliminated the yers’ concerns about their ships being destroyed;
The Game System’s resurrection service meant that yers did not need to fear death;
The highly valuable Demon God Cells were especially tempting to the yers.
...
Under the influence of these three factors, Nnd Lee thought to himself that if he had been a yer, he probably would havee to watch the fierce battle and been ready to snag a fortune at any moment.
For the time being, Nnd Lee did not interact with the yers on the scene.
He shifted his gaze to the main yers.
Twenty Artificial Angels, one Demon God Host.
The former were armed withser weapons that required almost no cooldown, while thetter, although not having shown any ranged capabilities yet, could knock an individual Artificial Angel over with its extremely strong physical body alone.
The battle between the two sides looked less like the Angels were trying to kill the Host and more like the Host was chasing after the Angels to bite them.
Yes, bite.
The Demon God Host was fascinated by the flesh of the Artificial Angels and even abandoned all the crew aboard the Transport Fleet.
Since the appearance of the twenty Artificial Angels, the Demon God Host had only been doing one thing.
Using the external armor of the ship as a springboard, it would leap up and transform into an incredibly swift, high-speed fish-like entity, striking the body of an Artificial Angel.
The body of the Demon God Host was peculiar.
It could actually ignore the energy shields protecting the Artificial Angels, directly passing through them and touching the Artificial Angels’ torsos without hindrance.
Then, the Demon God Host would open its mouth wide and viciously bite into the skin of the Artificial Angel, ferociously tearing off arge chunk of bloody flesh.
The Artificial Angels’ pilots, in pain, would activate some kind of subdermal defense system that expelled the Demon God Host off their bodies with a powerful repulsive force.
After being forced away from an Artificial Angel, the Demon God Host would quickly swallow the flesh in its mouth, then, like a rubber man, stretch its arms to hold onto the ship, pulling its body towards it.
Once back on the external armor of the ship, the Demon God Host would stand still for about three seconds.
Nnd Lee used a detection magic spell and saw that the Demon God Host was not recovering its energy but was elerating the digestion of the chunks of meat it had just swallowed.
The chunks passed through the Demon God Host’s esophagus, where the countless spikes within divided the chunks into different parts.
Fat, hair, membranes, meat – the various ingredients entered different stomach sacs, ssified and digested separately.
In just three short seconds, chunks of flesh asrge as a human head would bepletely digested and transformed into biomatter that enhanced the hardness of the Demon God Host’s body and the biting force of its teeth.
Such a crude offensive method, an highly efficient digestive system, and an immediate strengthening process…
yer – Sesrot, the deity behind the Demon God Host, had taken the concept of “growing through warfare” to its extreme.
However, the Artificial Angels were not merely taking the hits passively.
They used life-monitoring devices to figure out the condition of the Demon God Host’s body and then targeted the flesh with specially adaptedser beams.
The Artificial Angels also changed the firing mode of their long spears.
Previously, the long spears emitted a singleser beam with a diameter of at least 10 meters.
Now, like a showerhead, the spears could shoot out hundreds to thousands of fineser beams.
Beyond that, theser beams fired by the long spears could also sweep back and forth like a mop and continuously attack the agile Demon God Host.
The Demon God Host struggled to dodge such attacks.
With 10,000ser beamsing at it, there were always a few dozen that it could not avoid.
The sight ofser beams sweeping over the Demon God Host was likesers trimming the short hairs on a pig’s skin.
A vast number of surface cells and hair would be burned by the high temperature of theser beams, turning into dust in an extremely short time and sliding off the Demon God Host’s body.
At that moment, a traction field would be applied to the dust that fell from the Demon God Host, collecting these fine particles.
The traction field originated from several Artificial Angels that were not participating in the battle.
Each of them was holding a seemingly sturdy metallic cargopartment.
While other Artificial Angels were howling in pain from the Demon God Host’s biting, these few were carefully collecting the dust from the Demon God Host’s body.
This must be an action to collect Demon God Cells… Nnd Lee squinted his eyes, secretly specting in his heart.
But here was the problem.
If the Angel Enterprises Alliance also wanted the Demon God Cells, why didn’t they simply capture the Demon God Host and collect them at their leisure?
Why insist on doing so in the middle of a battle?
Nnd Lee was perplexed and couldn’t understand the intentions of the Angel Enterprises Alliance for a while.
As time went on, Nnd Lee’s confusion grew.
The Demon God Host was enjoying its feast, growing rapidly, moving faster to the naked eye, and its biting power was significantly increasing.
With just one bite, it could tear away more than two square meters of flesh from the surface of an Artificial Angel.
This level of biting was causing the Artificial Angels fighting the Demon God Host a great deal of pain, but not a single one faltered in battle.
The Artificial Angels fought to the death, which meant they must have received an order from their superiors.
It was estimated that it wouldn’t be long before reinforcement would arrive at the location to help the Artificial Angels subdue the Demon God Host.
However, left waiting and waiting, those 59 Artificial Angels never received any reinforcements but continued to cooperate, restraining the Demon God Host and collecting dust.
