?Chapter 1246: Unexpected ce
“Get ready, the teleportation is starting!”
The voice of the Scroll Angel wasn’t loud, but it pierced through the rumbling tumult of the Array’s operation, reaching Nnd Lee’s ears.
Nnd Lee, standing dozens of meters away, gestured to the Scroll Angel, signaling that he was prepared.
As an even more potent surge of Soul Energy flowed into the Array, the luminosity on site reached its peak. Nnd Lee’s vision wentpletely overcast, as if he were in an endless Grey Mist Ocean.
He felt his body lighten considerably, as if wrapped in warm Sea Water and suspended in the water, an illusion.
His body began to sway to and fro with an unknown rhythm, its lines twisted, straightened, elongated, and contracted by an invisible Power, as though he was no longer a person but a three-dimensional geometric entity made up of countless curves. <div>
...
A surprised and quiet exmation entered his mind:
“What? Why would the Star Pce Barrier respond to our teleportation Ceremony?”
“???,” a string of question marks floated through Nnd Lee’s mind.
Had he heard that correctly?
The Star Pce Barrier had reacted to the teleportation Ceremony?
Wasn’t it said that after the disappearance of the Star God, Gilenz, and Senati, the Star Pce Barrier had be nothing but a decoration?
Before Nnd Lee could shout his inquiries, another voice came from beyond the Grey Mist:
“Pay attention, Nnd! An unknown existence is using the Star Pce Barrier to track our Ceremony, trying to figure out where I am teleporting you. I need to increase the energy and speed up the teleportation, or the other party will detect your destination! I suspect it’s very likely the Metal Ancestral Dragon behind this! It can actually control the Star Pce Barrier to a limited extent, indicating it must possess a Treasure from either Gilenz or Senati. No wonder it dares to invest so much resource into the Inner Cosmos; it had this backup n!”
As the Scroll Angel spoke, the Grey Mist surrounding Nnd Lee grew thicker and even started to feel somewhat sticky.
Just as the Grey Mist was solidifying around him like cement, Nnd Lee heard a very faint cry of rm.
“Damn it!”
Just as Nnd Lee was about to ask what had happened, the Grey Mist engulfing him suddenly pulled him upward, shooting out of the Spinning Continent.
In a very brief moment, the clouds above the Spinning Continent, the deep blue and profound Heavens, and the endless surface of the Deep Sea shed before Nnd Lee’s eyes before being left far behind, shrinking to a tiny point.
Looking around, Nnd Lee saw only endless darkness, with just a small patch above his Head dotted with faint starlight.
“Am I still in the midst of teleportation?”
Nnd Lee lifted his arm in confusion, intending to scratch his Head out of habit, but found that his limbs were immobilized, and only his head and eyes could move in a small range.
Before the teleportation had started, the Scroll Angel operating the Array had specifically discussed the precautions of teleporting with Nnd Lee.
They boiled down to three points.
First, do not move at all, as it would cause a deviation in the teleportation trajectory.
Second, there was no need to worry about identally dying; in fact, his body had been converted into pure energy by the Array the moment the teleportation began.
Third, trust in the “Escape” Core of the ne’s ability to navigate. Although this ne Core had not joined the Supreme Star Pce, its exploits in navigation were well known, so Nnd Lee didn’t have to worry about idents during teleportation.
So… should he not worry about idents now, either?
Nnd Lee furrowed his brows and slightly lifted his Head, straining to look at the small patch of Starry Sky above.
He felt that he might be trapped inside the Star Pce Barrier…
Under normal circumstances, he should have flown out of the ck Hole where the Inner Cosmos was and then toward a designated part of the Starry Sky. But why did it feel like he was stuck in ce?
Nnd Lee took a deep breath and pondered.
After a little while, he realized he couldn’t save himself and that he could do nothing but wait for death or for the teleportation to resume.
The darkness around him closed in like a quagmire, causing Nnd Lee an unwarranted chill and sense of istion.
Nnd Lee felt his body rapidly losing heat, and an unsettling premonition grew stronger within him.
Fortunately, the situation soon took a turn.
Wisps of Grey Mist began to reappear, winding upwards around Nnd Lee’s legs in spirals.
The warm sensation dominated once again, quelling the chill within his body and dispersing the “Extreme Cold” of the darkness.
The emergence of the Grey Mist seemed to symbolize that the teleportation was resuming normally.
Nnd Lee saw hope of escape.
But before he could witness the scene of himself entering the Starry Sky above, the Grey Mist vanished all at once, and the cold returned.
Nnd Lee’s heart skipped a beat.
Had the Teleportation Array failed to activate?
Just when the chill was spreading through his entire body again, the Grey Mist appeared once more.
This time, the concentration of the Grey Mist was much thicker than before, forming a thick “downyer” on the surface of Nnd Lee’s body, pletely shielding him from the cold of the darkness.
As the Grey Mist was about to thicken to the point of solidity, just like when the teleportation had first started, Nnd Lee’s heart was lifted, fearing the Grey Mist would disappear again.
Thankfully, thankfully.
The Scroll Angel hosting the teleportation Ceremony was very reliable.
They must have paid some price to restart the disrupted transmission sessfully.
Wrapped in the Grey Mist, Nnd Lee passed through the “Cave Entrance” above his head into an expansive Starry Sea.
Upon setting foot in Outer Space, the surrounding stars seemed to flicker uniformly in response to his arrival, blinking in the blink of an eye.
