“Hiss, that’s not right. After using the Bone-mending Wand, he might need to rest before leaving…
“Perhaps he’s in a weakened state now? I can take advantage of this opportunity and get a final blow to him?”
Nnd Lee hesitated for a moment, his heart both excited and cautious.
He calmed his mind and stepped into the staircase leading to the exit.
The faint sound of the wind seemed to swirl around his ears.<div>
The poisonous fog in the staircase was stirred up by the wind blowing in from the exit, creating ripples.
Nnd Lee’s heart moved, and his eyes sparkled.
“Finally, I’m going to escape from the Suffering Bordend…
“I’ll nevere back to this ghostly ce in the Tatis Empire unless I have to fulfill the Original Master’sst wish!
‘What’s the point of staying in a ce where you can’t see the sun and the moon all day?
“Eh… I wonder what the starry skies and the sun in this world look like? Are they the same as the world before I crossed? If they are, does it mean that I didn’t cross and just came to a different point in the past or future of the original world?
“…I’m not sure, I’ll find out when I get to the ground.”
Nnd Lee, full of anticipation, crossed the threshold of the stairway entrance and moved toward the direction of the breeze.
The wind grew stronger, and the toxic fog in the air became thinner, indicating that he was getting closer to the cliff on the north side of the mountain range. A circr hall adorned with a fountain sculpture appeared at the end of the walkway.
On the wall behind the sculpture, there were a row of doorways through which starlight and fields could be seen.
Nnd Lee’s heart stirred, slightly quickening his pace while paying attention to his surroundings.
Just as he entered the circr hall, a hunched figure emerged from a corner.
“Hehehehe… I’ve finally waited for you… *cough cough*… Nnd Lee Jarvis…
“You must have something like a parachute in your backpack, right? Otherwise, how could you, a Wild Wizard who’s only a First Rank Wizard at most, choose this ce as your escape point?
“*Cough cough*… Hand your backpack over to me, and then I’ll consider leaving your corpse intact…”
“Greenshaw…” Nnd Lee stared intently at the stooped figure.
The man’s body was bent almost at a 90-degree angle, his back hunched and unable to straighten up; he had to tilt his head back to speak.
One look at his face – old, withered, the skin like dead bark clinging to his face – showed no trace of the tall and thin figure he used to be.
“It seems that using the Bone-mending Wand has had a significant negative impact on you, Greenshaw. Weren’t you able to fly? Why not just fly out?” While talking, Lee walked slowly around the circr fountain sculpture.
Greenshaw’s gaze closely followed Nnd Lee’s movement.
He suddenly raised his right hand, directing a ck lightning bolt from his wand in hand.
Nnd Lee managed to summon several “Magic Shields” in session, barely blocking the attack, and retreating several steps in the explosion of the lightning.
Greenshaw had indeed be weak. Half an hour ago, his ck lightning would have severely injured the “Imperial Fist”.
But now, Nnd Lee was able to use his shields to block the strikes.
Lee’s eyes filled with anticipation, for he truly had a chance to snatch the final blow from a Two-Ring Wizard.
Seeing that Nnd blocked his Magic Lightning, Greenshaw hesitated for a moment, seemingly startled, but tried to y tough.
“Know the difference between us, brat. You’re not qualified to negotiate with me. Give me your backpack now. If I weren’t afraid of damaging the parachute,
I would have already sted you to pieces with my magic.”
Greenshaw bent over, maintaining the levelling posture of his wand.
Nnd noticed that the wand Greenshaw was using was his own, not the Bone-mending Wand.
Upon closer inspection, Nnd detected a long, thin shadow bulging out of Greenshaw’s clothes; that must be the hidden Bone-mending Wand.
Whether it was an illusion or not, Nnd felt as if he had fallen into a vast, filthy swamp when his gaze touched the Bone-mending Wand; around him were corpses, bloodstains, and limb fragments.
A feeling of extreme emotions, filled with death and hatred, shed through Nnd Lee’s heart.
“Zzz…”
A crisp sound came from Greenshaw’s wand, pulling Nnd out of his brief daze.
Nnd Lee’s brow furrowed, and he stopped looking at the Bone-mending Wand, which was just too strange.
He squinted at Greenshaw’s right hand.
A soft ck glow emerged from the tip of the wand in the man’s hand, coiling at the tip as if umting power.
The glow gradually grew stronger, carrying a threatening intent.
“Hand, over, the, backpack,” Greenshaw said, pausing between each word.
Nnd didn’t budge and continued to move his feet, heading towards the walkway.
“Crack! ”
Another ck lightning bolt struck.
Nnd Lee summoned a shield just in time, blocking the ck lightning but was forced to stagger back by the impact of the spell, hitting the wall.
He casually nced at Greenshaw, raised his right hand, and flipped him off:
“Come on, Greenshaw, follow me,e closer. Follow me to the edge of the exit, and I’ll show you a big treasure.”
“What tricks are you ying?” Greenshaw looked alert.
His strength was greatly weakened after forcibly using the Bone-mending Wand.
The fact that two consecutive ck lightning strikes failed to break Nnd Lee’s shield showed how weak he had be.
“Come on, Greenshaw..” Nnd smirked, stepped into the walkway leading to the exit, faced Greenshaw, and backed out with his back to the entrance:
