Ss'' instinctive reaction was to push her away but he knew that he would be hurting her feelings by doing that.
Also, he knew that she meant well and she was trying to help him relief ths guilt and emotional turbulence she thought he would be experiencing from taking a life.
Ss smiled when he thought of this. He knew that Kim was really doing her best to be a good mother to him and his brother.

Kim smiled and went to the kitchen, while Ss walked to his dad and said his greetings before going up to his room to freshen up.
