Yu Ke... As Qiao Sang read the message, she immediately recalled who this person was.
How did she find me? Why is she looking for me?
Back at the auction, the only time I stood out was when I bid for the Qingfeng Compass. Could she be after that?
One question after another surfaced in Qiao Sang’s mind.
After thinking for a moment, she put the letter into her pocket.
She decided to contact the sender after her training. After all, she was quite curious about why this person was looking for her and how she managed to find her.
---Yi Bay.
A high-end vi district in the prime northern area of the Imperial Capital.
The gray-ck pet beast that had delivered the letter floated into a towering three-story vi.
Yu Ke, who was sitting on the sofa, stood up eagerly when she saw the floating pet beast.
"Did you deliver the letter?"
"Li li."
The gray-ck pet beast nodded.
Yu Ke’s eyes lit up. She picked up her phone and checked it, but her expression quickly dimmed with disappointment.
"Then why hasn’t she contacted me yet?"
At that moment, a girl sitting on the sofa, who looked around sixteen, with delicate features, spoke up.
"Sis, are you sure you didn’t mistake her for someone else?"
Although she was talking, her eyes remained fixed on a virtual screen in front of her, where a rey of today’s National Campus Beast Mastering League was being broadcast.
"How could I be wrong? She was the only one wearing a school uniform at the time." Yu Ke said.
"I remember her face very clearly. She’s definitely Qiao Sang, the one trending on the hot search today."
"But she’s from the Yuhua region. How would she have an invitation to the Mystic Auction?" Yu Le asked.
Yu Ke put down her phone.
"What’s so strange about that? Her family elders probably got her an invitation since she was visiting the Zhongkong region."
"Even if it was really her, she probably doesn’t want to bother with you. Didn’t she refuse to even tell you her name at the auction?"
"That was a different time and ce." Yu Ke argued.
"She came alone to an auction in a different region, with no one apanying her, it’s normal for her to be cautious."
"You shouldn’t get your hopes up." Yu Le said, still watching thepetition rey.
"People with strong family backgrounds and exceptional beast-taming talent tend to be arrogant. They always think they’re different from those of us who only have connections butck talent. There’s a guy in my ss who got into the school team’s individualbat group. He got eliminated in the regional qualifiers but still acts like he’s above us. Qiao Sang, on the other hand, is a real deal."
"Sigh..." Yu Ke sat back on the sofa, looking a bit weary.
She didn’t want to admit it, but her sister’s words weren’t entirely wrong.
Inrge families, talent was paramount.
If someone had high talent, even if they were from a side branch, the Yu family would still provide them with top-tier resources.
After all, setting aside other advantages, people with greater talent generally lived much longer.
The longer one lived, the more possibilities they had to excel in a given field.
If someonecked talent, even if they had a powerful contracted pet obtained through their family’s wealth, they wouldn’t earn true respect within the elite circles.
Take Yu Youwei, a former direct descendant of the Yu family, for example. The family spent a fortune helping him contract a purebred Haile Dragon. But in the end, his brain domain never developed enough to contract a second pet beast. He passed away at just seventy.
By then, the Haile Dragon had already evolved into a General-ss beast, the Tidal Dragon. It refused to bond with anyone else.
Forcing a contract with a resistant General-ss beast was highly dangerous, so the family tried a softer approach, providing for the dragon in hopes that it would eventually agree.
But the Tidal Dragon took advantage of apse in surveince, entered a secret realm, and never reappeared.
Since then, the Yu family had ced even greater importance on talent.
Even though Yu Ke was from the main branch, she hadn’t awakened her abilities naturally. Her brain domain development was slow. Now that she was in college, she still only had one high-tier pet beast.
At this rate, she would never qualify for the Yu family’s top resources. In a few years, she’d likely be sent off into a political marriage.
She didn’t want to live that kind of life.
So, she worked hard to build connections in elite circles, hoping to carve out an alternative path for herself.
That’s when Qiao Sang appeared.
At first, when Qiao Sang disappeared after the auction, Yu Ke hadn’t thought much of it, just some mild disappointment. But then, she saw the trending news.
Fifteen years old. Three high-tier pet beasts. An undefeated record so far in the high school division of the National Campus Beast Mastering League.
Even in the history of the league, no one like her had ever existed.
When Yu Ke realized that the girl in the hot search was the same one who had sat beside her at the auction, her eyes nearly popped out of her head.
If she could establish a connection with someone of such limitless potential, then once Qiao Sang rose to power, her own future would no longer be dictated by her family.
Her ideal life might just depend on clinging to this future powerhouse.
With this in mind, Yu Ke couldn’t help but reach out. But Qiao Sang hadn’t responded.
"I had a great conversation with Qiao Sang at the auction. If she doesn’t contact me, it must mean that Limeng Monster delivered the letter to the wrong person." Yu Ke said, trying to save face in front of her sister.
Yu Le turned to the Limeng Monster.
"Is that true?"
"Li li!"
The Limeng Monster immediately protested. It hadn’t made a mistake!
Yu Le asked, "What did it say?"
"It admitted its mistake." Yu Ke tranted.
"Li li!"
The Limeng Monster’s eyes zed with fury.
That was a tant lie! It had delivered the letter correctly!
Sensing trouble, Yu Ke quickly changed the subject.
"You must be hungry. Want an energy pill?"
"Li li!"
The Limeng Monster instantly forgot its anger and nodded eagerly.
Just then, Yu Ke’s phone screen lit up.
With sharp eyes, she immediately noticed a friend request.
For a moment, she swore she could hear the pounding of her own heartbeat.
Fumbling in excitement, she grabbed her phone, opened her chat app, and epted the request.
Before she could type anything, a message popped up:
[Hello, I received your letter. How did you find me?]
It’s really her! Yu Ke practically leaped off the sofa, her face filled with excitement.
Yu Le shot her a nce, skeptical. @@novelbin@@
"Didn’t you just say Limeng Monster delivered the letter to the wrong person?"
Yu Ke ignored her, fully immersed in her conversation.
"Li li…"
The Limeng Monster sighed, feeling utterly betrayed.

[You were on the hot search. You’re basically a celebrity now. Most high school students recognize you. My sister is in high school, so I just asked around.]
Qiao Sang, now lying in bed after her training, read the message.
So she had been found through gossip, not through some pet beast’s tracking skill. Speaking of which, why was she on the hot search again…?
While she grumbled internally, she typed:
[Why are you looking for me?]
Yu Ke responded instantly:
[I want to invest in you!]
Invest in me…?
Qiao Sang was momentarily stunned.
Before she could reply, another message came through:
[That means whatever you want to do, you cane to me. Of course, I know with your family background, you probably don’tck much. But you’re still young, and there are always things you want to do that your family might not allow. When that happens, you cane to me.]
Yu Ke got straight to the point.
She knew that Qiao Sang was from the Yuhua Region and had onlye here to participate in the National Campus Beast Mastering League.
If she didn’t establish a close rtionship with her within a short period, once Qiao Sang returned to Yuhua, she would likely forget about her before long.
Qiao Sang’s gaze flickered as she typed a reply:
[Why do you want to invest in me?]
Yu Ke responded with three question marks, expressing confusion.
[With your talent, do you even need to ask? I’m sure plenty of people want to invest in you. Others might wait until you finish the national championship or graduate high school, but I’m simply getting ahead of them.]
She continued messaging:
[I know youe from an extraordinary background, but you’re from Yuhua. Some resources and information are only avable in Zhongkong. For example, the Qingfeng Compass you won at the auction while it’s undeniably valuable, its worth is more in collection than in practical use.]
[It’s true that the Qingfeng Compass can help locate Qingqing Ni, but for most people, that just means getting a glimpse of it.]
[Throughout history, only three people have sessfully formed a contract with Qingqing Ni using the Qingfeng Compass. Otherwise, do you think everyone would have given up so easily at 900 million?]
[Information like this is hard toe by unless you belong to a family with over a century of history in Zhongkong.]
Extraordinary background? Where did she get that idea?
Qiao Sang instinctively typed a response but quickly deleted it and rewrote: [You don’t seem much older than me. You’re probably still in school. Would you even have time for anything else?]
Yu Ke’s eyes lit up with excitement as she read the message.
She knew that if Qiao Sang was asking this, it meant their rtionship was already halfway built.
[Don’t worry! I’m in college, so I have plenty of free time!]
Qiao Sang stared at the chat page, pondering for a couple of seconds before replying:
[Let’s set up a time to talk after my national championship is over.]
At the moment, Qiao Sang wasn’tcking money or resources but only for the next year.
It had already been over a month since she got the ck Gold Card, leaving her with just a little over ten months.
This past month had given her a very clear understanding of how expensive resources were.
Buying real estate, like she did in her previous life, was unrealistic. Household registration issues prevented her from purchasing property in other provinces, let alone in other regions.
And even if she stockpiled existing properties, she’d have to pay property taxes every year.
While property prices were undeniably high, reselling second-hand homes was difficult. If she couldn’t sell them, she’d end up losing money every year.
The real estate market in the Beast master world wasn’t very liquid, meaning it was hard to turn assets into cash. Unlike the previous world, properties herecked financial value.
At the end of the day, the most lucrative and expensive industry was still pet beasts.
Right now, her mother had opened a pet breeding store specializing in Fire Fang Dogs and was making a bit of money.
But her ultimate goal was topete in the Star Cup.
A single pet breeding store could never provide enough resources for that.
After this conversation, Qiao Sang suddenly realized: She needed to start preparing for the days when she no longer had the ck Gold Card.
Yu Ke was based in Zhongkong, had connections, a background, and was still young, not one of those old, cunning capitalists.
She would indeed make a good business partner.
[Alright! Good luck with yourpetition! I’ll be waiting for you!]
Qiao Sang read Yu Ke’s message, then exited the chat page.
