Chapter 179: Twin Gun Loli!

Although his master said that Reba was trustworthy, Leon didn’t truly let his guard down.

It wasn’t that he didn’t trust his master, but the traitor who had backstabbed him years ago was among the three of them, making it difficult for him to feel at ease.

Being extra vignt is never a mistake.

With sunsses on, Leon navigated through various small roads and dark alleys, making several turns before arriving at a detached apartment. This was Reba’s home.

Why was Leon so sure she hadn’t moved in the past three years?

He turned to look at a corner of the yard. There sat an exaggeratedlyrge cannon. No normal person would have a cannon powered by fire element magic in their yard, right?

Leon averted his gaze from the cannon and circled the apartment. There was no one inside.

“She should be out on a mission at this time,” he muttered as he approached the back door of the apartment.

He tried turning the door lock.

    Click—

    The door slowly opened inward.

Leon was slightly taken aback. “This crazy girl is still as careless as ever. What if a thief breaks in?”

But then he thought, who would dare to steal from the home of a top-tier gunner of the Dragon yer Corps? They must have a death wish.

Leon entered through the back door and stepped into the living room. The ce was a bit messy.

Stuffed animals and clothes were strewn haphazardly across the sofa. If Rosvitha saw this, she might not even bother cleaning up and instead unleash a Dragon me, making things easier for everyone.

    Hiss—

Why did his thoughts drift to that dragon woman? Missing her was understandable, but had it only been a few hours since they parted, and he already missed her? Wasn’t that a bit too eager?

Leon shook his head, pushing the chaotic thoughts away, and continued to observe Reba’s house.

On the coffee tabley a heap of disassembled handgun parts, with a training dummy round beside them. Reba was a chatterbox, always prattling on, so when she was alone, she needed something to dispel her loneliness more than others. Thus, she developed a unique hobby: gun assembly.

She would disassemble aplete handgun, reassemble it, then disassemble it again, and reassemble it once more. The process was quite dull and tedious, but she could quietly upy herself with it for an entire evening.

As a gunner, understanding the assembly principles of firearms was indeed important.

Leon sat on the sofa and picked up the parts on the coffee table, attempting to assemble them. Reba had taught him how to assemble a gun before. Though he didn’t have her speed or skill, his remarkable memory allowed him to manage.

It was a ssic close-range handgun, small and powerful, favored by many female gunners—except Reba. She preferred the big, shy types, the kind that made a booming noise audible from miles away when fired.

“So this kind of small pistol was just a toy she used to pass the time.”

Leon stood up, nced around the room, his mind stirring with an idea.

    …

Two ponytails swayed behind the girl’s head as she walked lightly.

Originally possessing a lolita figure, she was dressed in a cool and trendy mature outfit: a ck short vest, a white small tank top underneath, and a super short pair of shorts. Despite her short stature, her legs were perfectly proportioned, with just the right amount of fleshiness.

She carried arge shopping bag in her arms, filled with various snacks and fruits.

    “Afternoon, Reba,” greeted the neighbor.

The girl with twin ponytails stopped, responding warmly, “Good afternoon, Mrs. Harry! You look younger than yesterday. Did you use some magical spell? Can you teach me?”

Mrs. Harry was delighted by the girl’spliments, waving her hands, “No, no, it’s just a good attitude.”

“Oh, I see, that’s quite nice. By the way, Mrs. Harry, thest time you asked me to help with pest control was two months ago. Have the bugs multiplied again recently? Do you need my help?”

Mrs. Harry’s smile froze as she recalled the terrifying scene of Reba wielding two submachine guns and spraying her yard indiscriminately two months ago…

Just the thought of it was frightening!

“No, no, it’s fine, Reba, you can go about your business.”

“Okay, Mrs. Harry, just let me know if you need anything!”

Mrs. Harry waved her hand, and Reba continued to walk home with light, brisk steps.

As she reached the door, she lifted her shapely, flesh-filled leg to support the shopping bag and free up a hand to take out the keys from her pocket.

But out of the corner of her eye, she unintentionally caught a glimpse through the nearby window into the living room. Was that a figure?

Reba furrowed her brows, “A thief?”

Most people would panic upon finding a burr in their home, and after the initial panic, they would immediately call the security patrol or shout for help. But Reba wasn’t like most people. Not only did she not panic, but she was even a bit excited.

A little yellow-haired thief. In this vast empire, you could’ve chosen any other house to rob, but you had to pick on yours truly?

Perfect timing. It had been a while since she had seen any action since being assigned to patrol duty, and today she would use this little thief for practice.

Reba gently set down her shopping bag and then lifted the corner of the rug at the entrance. With one hand, she pressed down hard on the wooden panel beneath the rug, causing it to open, revealing a hiddenpartment containing a delicate handgun.

As an excellent gunner, she could even hide two guns in the toilet’s cistern, so hiding one under the rug was normal, right?

Taking the gun, Reba slowly opened the door, treaded lightly, and cautiously entered the room. She pressed herself against the side of the entrance door, peeking out to observe the ck-haired thief still in the living room.

Oh, not yellow hair, but ck. And he wasn’t that small either; he was at least 180 cm tall. Normally, he could easily kick Reba, who was 158 cm tall, far away.

The ck-haired thief had his back turned towards Reba, so she couldn’t see his face. But it didn’t matter. Whether he had yellow hair or ck, whether he was a small-time thief or a big one, the weapon in her hand was no joke.

The thief remainedpletely unaware of Reba silently observing him from behind as he continued to search earnestly.@@novelbin@@

Seizing the opportunity, Reba advanced silently, one step at a time, from behind.

Stealthy movement was a must-have skill for a gunner.

Until Reba reached behind the thief, he still hadn’t noticed anything.

    Click—

The dark muzzle of the gun was pressed against the thief’s waist—she didn’t aim at his head because Reba was too short and had to stand on tiptoe to reach his waist.

The thief, being sensible, immediately raised his hands and surrendered at lightning speed.

“Wow, you’re pretty experienced, Mr. Thief. Seems like you’ve had a gun to your back more than once, huh?” Reba said smugly. “In broad daylight, sneaking into a youngdy’s home and rummaging through leftover takeout boxes, your hobbies are a bit strange.”

    Mr. Thief remained silent.

“Hmph, you have the right to remain silent, Mr. Thief, but whatever you say will be used as evidence!” Reba continued, still met with silence.

The most annoying thing for a chatterbox is this kind of situation.

She babbled on and on, but the other party remained silent like a mute.

Reba frowned in displeasure and pressed the muzzle of her gun against the thief’s back again. “ying mute, huh? Believe it or not, I’ll shoot you and paralyze your lower body!”

It was just a threat. The thief was a thief, but his crime didn’t warrant such a punishment, and the empire wasn’t a ce forwless thugs.

This time, however, the thief finally responded, “I bet your gun… has no bullets!”
