Chapter 458

A crew member followed right after, hauling the luggage.

Marissa held Tessa''s arm and led her all the way to the room where she would be

staying for the next two days.

"Tessa, this is your room," Marissa murmured, sounding somewhat guilty.

    Tessa nodded. "Thank you."

Then, Marissa turned to Stephen, pointed at the door diagonally across from

Tessa''s, and said, "Stevie, your room is over there."

Tessa froze slightly when she heard that. Marissa had arranged for them to stay

    separately.

Tessa lowered her gaze but said nothing.

Stephen''s eyes were cold as he shot a look at Marissa before saying, "Don''t

bother. I''ll be staying with Tess."

Marissa''sshes fluttered slightly before hastily adding, "Tessa''s room is single.

It''ll be too cramped if you stay with her."

The cruise ship had over a hundred guest rooms avable, all fully equipped and

luxuriously decorated. There was even a helipad on the deck.

They had passed by several entertainment facilities earlier. The ship had a movie

theater, a bar, a ballroom, a game room, a billiard room, and so forth. There was

even a massive swimming pool at the stern.

This was arge cruise ship, so there was no way Marissa was facing a room

shortage. Thus, Marissa''s true intentions were as clear as day.

Tessa didn''t see the need to say anything about it, but Stephen wasn''t about to

    y along.

As such, he immediately told Marissa he was going to stay with Tessa.

When he heard Marissa''s concern about Tessa''s assigned room being cramped,

he walked in and swept his gaze across the room beforementing, "It''s not

cramped at all. Besides, a smaller space only makes the room seem cozier. What

    do you think, Tessa?"

Before she could say anything in response, Stephen instructed the crew member,

saying, "You can leave the bags there."

He wasn''t just referring to Tessa''s luggage, as even his luggage had been ced

    inside the room.

It was more than obvious he was determined to stay in this room tonight.

Truthfully, the room was far from small. It was actually a luxurious king-sized room

and was perfectly suitable for two. It wasn''t at all cramped. However, Stephen had

deliberately called it "cozy", implying that he had no desire to be apart from Tessa.

Tessa looked up at him and smiled. This time, she didn''t y along with Marissa''s

n as she said, "Marissa, he''ll be staying with me."

    A flicker of disappointment

    appeared in Marissa''s eyes.

    Eventually, she pursed her lips

    muttered reluctantly, "Fine."

"Ms. Scott, thank you for escorting us to our rooms," Stephen said before

promptly shutting the door right in her face.

Tessa looked at him with amusement. "Don''t you think you''re being

    discourteous?"

How could he chase Marissa out like that? Even worse, he was doing it to the

    host herself.

Stephen curled his lips into a smirk and drawled, "I even thanked her. How''s that

    being rude?"

"Yes, yes. You''re the epitome of courtesy," she snarked, rolling her eyes at him.

"Forget about her," he said, dragging Tessa into his arms. Then, he lowered his

voice and murmured, "I want to kiss you."

He didn''t even wait for Tessa''s response before lowering his lips to seal hers.

Their lips and tongue soon intertwined in a tender kiss.

Meanwhile, Marissa was frozen in ce beyond the door.

Wynn regarded her expressionlessly before demanding, "Ms. Scott, where is my

    room?"

Marissa instantly snapped out of it and answered politely, "It''s right over there. I''ll

    take you."

    "Alright," Wynn replied.

Marissa was not an ungrateful person.

Tessa and Wynn had saved her when she had been drugged.

    She remembered Tessa telling her

that Wynn was the one who had

given those despicable men a good

beating before they could save her.

    Thus, Marissa was very grateful

    toward Wynn and had specially

invited Wynn to her birthday party.

She had even arranged for Wynn to

live in a luxurious single room during

    her stay.

Tessa was breathless after the kiss.

When she took a look in the mirror, sheined, "You''ve gone and messed up

    my lipstick."

Stephen chuckled. "You can just apply more."
