Her mind was consumed by a single thought. She wanted revenge!


    She wasn''t going to let Calliope off the hook that easily. It was Calliope who had ruined her, who had ruined her son!


    "Mom!" Gideon sobbed beside Fleur, tears streaming down his face. "I''m sorry, it''s all my fault!"


    "My son!"


    They clung to each other, weeping bitterly.


    Ss decided it was enough and turned to Damien and the others, instructing them, "Get them to the hospital!"


    Then he nced at Gabriel. "And you?"


    "I—I swear I''ll never wrong Ms. Jewell again!" Gabriel stammered, looking desperately at Ss. "Mr. Myers, I''ve learned my lesson! Please, let me go! I''ll make sure to send money to Ms. Jewell every month. From now on, mypany is herpany!"


    He turned his pleading eyes to Calliope.


    Calliope responded coolly, "Let it go. Let him earn more money. I want to sponsor some kids, and his money could be put to good use."


    "Then make sure you earn well!" Ss shot Gabriel a frosty look.


    Then he stood up, taking Calliope''s hand. "Honey, let''s go home."


    Calliope nodded. As she passed Gideon, she gave him a disdainful nce.


    "Gideon, you''ve been nothing but a disappointment."


    With that, Ss and Calliope left the scene.


    Gideon and Fleur were eventually taken to the hospital, which happened to be the same one Yvette was visiting.


    Yvette was wandering downstairs, feeling irritated by the bodyguards trailing her every move. When she spotted Gideon and Fleur, she instinctively ducked away.


    But then she realized there was no reason to hide. She was just there for a bite to eat.


    Still, what had happened to them?


    Yvette noticed Fleur''s arm looked awkwardly positioned, and Gideon was being carried in. She felt a pang of anxiety and rushed over to them.


    "Honey, Mom, what happened to you? What''s going on?"


    "You witch, this is all your fault!" Fleur''s eyes zed with fury as she saw Yvette, ming her for everything.


    She tried to raise her hand to strike


    Yvette, only to find she couldn''t move it. All she could do was hurl insults, her whole demeanoro disheveled and helpless.


    "You''re a curse! You bring nothing but trouble!"


    Fleur spat her venom, attempting to lunge at Yvette, who quickly stepped back,


    dodging Fleur''s wild attempts.


    Yvette couldn''t believe what she was seeing.


    "Mom, I haven''t done anything to you. Why do you always me me?


    For heaven''s sake, is it easy being a daughter-inw? How can you, as a mother-


    inw, always bully your daughter-inw?"


    Yvette shouted deliberately, drawing the attention of the people around them.


    They began whispering among themselves.


    "Hey, isn''t that Fleur?"


    "Fleur, what brings you to the hospital?"


    "Oh my, what happened to your son? How did his leg get broken?"


    "And Fleur what''s your story? You look like you''ve been, uh... Who on earth would do such a thing? At your age, aren''t you a bit too old for this of drama?"
