"Alright, alright, we can take you to her. Just let us go, okay?"
"Yeah, we''ll take you to her!"
The group of men were clearly terrified of Calliope. None of them could quite figure out how she was so strong, but they knew one thing for sure: they couldn''t mess with her.
They quickly agreed to her demands.
Calliope shoved the leader into her car without a second thought. Then, she tied up the rest of them and instructed, "Someone''s bound toe by soon. Tell them where I''ve gone and have them free you!"
With that, Calliope drove off with the leader, leaving the others behind. The man sat in the backseat, bruised and battered, while Calliope drove from the front.
"Don''t even think about trying anything funny," she warned. "If you do, it''ll be the end of you."
As soon as she finished speaking, the car elerated sharply.
The man, who had been contemting overpowering her, was jolted back into his seat. He felt the speed increasing, and with it, his anxiety. Frantically fastening his seatbelt, he pleaded, "Please, slow down! This road has sharp turns. We could go flying off a cliff at this speed!"
"If you''re so scared, then shut your mouth," Calliope shot back, not even ncing in his direction.
The car roared through the mountain road, the only vehicle cutting through the night.
In the backseat, the man was too terrified to utter another word.
...
Meanwhile, in a suburban mansion,
Fleur was brimming with
confidence. "This time, she''s got no way gut. Those guys are the best you''ve got. Calliope will have no choice but to y by my rules."
"Of course. Those bodyguards are top-notch, trained by me personally. Rx, Gideon''s future is secure in our hands," Gabriel Lawson said with a smug smile, swirling a ss of whiskey.
"Is this really okay?" Gideon asked, his brow furrowed. "Uncle, Mom... if Ss finds out, he''ll never forgive us!"
"Gideon, stop being such a coward!" Fleur snapped. "You''ve got to be bold to achieve great things. If you don''t say anything and I don''t say anything, how would Ss ever find out about today?"
Gabriel chuckled lightly, "And that woman who left you? She''s even less likely to breathe a word. If she dares, those photos will be all over the world."
Fleur said through gritted teeth. "Gideon, remember, she''s the reason you''re in this mess. That witch never wanted you. She was always after Ss! Did you really think she loved you? She never did! She''s no good, that one!"
Gideon paused, his thoughts clouded with doubt. He remembered all the times she''d imed to love him, yet never allowed him to get too close She must have been involved with Ss already. Maybe she really was only ever after Ss.
That woman... she deserves what''sing to her!
As he imagined Calliope being humiliated, an unsettling thrill crept over him.
Once she''s broken, she won''t dare defy him again, right? She''d be begging on her knees for his forgiveness!
