    Horatio wheeled himself to his spot, looking up at everyone with an air of


    authority. Despite being in a wheelchair, he wore a sharp suit that matched his powerful presence.


    "You''re all guessing wrong. But there is something big happening in thepany."


    "What is it?"


    The room buzzed with curiosity.


    "Thepany is getting new management," Horatio revealed. "You''ll know what I mean soon enough-they''re on their way!"


    "What do you mean?"


    The team cast puzzled nces at Horatio, trying to decipher Horatio''s words.


    Just then, Calliope strode in. She was tall andmanding, her tailored suit entuating her confident demeanor. Her expression was cool, almost regal, as she walked in nked by Monty and Franco, who looked like an assistant and a secretary, both overshadowed by Calliope''smanding presence.


    The meeting room erupted in whispers.


    "Isn''t that Calliope?" someone murmured.


    "Why is she here? What''s going on?"


    "Could Horatio mean Calliope''s taking over management?"


    "Surely not! She''s just a young woman, how can she run thepany?"


    "Even if thepany''s reputation took a hit because of the Jewells'' ill-treatment toward her, it doesn''t mean she''s fit to manage apany."


    "And who''s this Franco character?"


    The room was a beehive of spection and disbelief.


    Calliope noticed themotion as she entered. Her eyes swept the room, assessing the crowd with a steely gaze. She made her way to the head of the table, Monty trailing behind her, looking like he wouldn''t dare sit before she did, quite defeated. Franco, however, stood calmly behind her, the perfect picture of a poised assistant.  swnovel


    "Good to see you all," Calliope began, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "Let me introduce myself. I''m Calliope. You might know me as the daughter of the Jewell family, but I''ve severed those ties. So, technically, I''m no longer Ms. Jewell."  swnovel


    "What does she mean?"


    "What''s Monty doing?"


    "They can''t seriously be thinking of putting a young woman in charge, can they?"


    "I won''t stand for it!"


    "Maybe she''s just here for introductions?"


    Calliope''s voice cut through the


    chatter with authority. "Please, everyone settle down and let me finish. I have no interest in the Jewell Group, but Mr. Monty Jewell asked me to save thepany. He offered me a significant share and full management control, asking me topletely assume his role. So, here I am.

    "Ms. Jewell, no offense, but youck the necessary skills. You tried working here before and it didn''t end well, remember?"


    "I have to say, you''re notpetent, even Lisette was better than you. How can we agree to you being the chairwoman?"
