Chapter 1013

With Portia''s help, Calliope carefully packed up the most important items. Each piece was worth a fortune, so they took extra care to wrap everything perfectly.

Portia gazed at the dazzling collection, unable to hold back a sigh of admiration. "Every single thing here looks so expensive. Are these all gifts for people?"

"Some are gifts," Calliope replied with a smile. “Others I''m sending on behalf of friends."

"With so many valuables, you can''t just use regr shipping, can you?" Portia looked warily at the neatly packed cases. "If anything went missing, you''d be in real trouble. I doubt a normal delivery service could even afford the insurance payout."

Calliope chuckled. "Exactly, so I use a specialty courier. There arepanies that handle deliveries like these, with professional agents who oversee every step."

After tidying up the packages, she motioned for Portia to take a seat. "She should be here soon. Let''s just rx for a minute."

"Who are we waiting for?" Portia asked, curiously. "The special courier?”

Calliope nodded. "Yes, someone who''s made for handling jobs like this."

Portia''s eyes widened. "That''s wild. So there''s a whole service just for stuff like this? What happens if something does get lost? Do they pay you back? I mean, who could actually afford to cover a loss like that?"

Calliope''s lips curved into a knowing smile. "They don''t lose packages. If one went missing, it would only be because the courier didn''t make it out alive."

"Seriously? That''s incredible!” Portia was fascinated.

They''d just sat down with tea when a car approached outside—a sleek ck SUV. A woman stepped out, looking effortlessly cool: short hair, a ck hoodie, and the kind of pretty face that lingered in your mind.

"Long time no see!" she called, hopping out of the driver''s seat.

"It has been a while," Calliope said, grinning as she walked over for a quick embrace.

"So-what am I shipping today?" the neer asked.

gave Portia a brief, friendly nod.

"This is Portia,” Calliope said, introducing them. "Portia, this is Vivian—the one I mentioned earlier."

"Hi!" Portia beamed, her interest obvious. "Callie said you''re amazing!"

Vivian shrugged with a modest smirk. "You have to know what you''re doing in this business."

Portia''s eyes sparkled. “That''s so cool. If I ever have an important package, could I hire you?"

"Of course," Vivian replied, her smile easy. “Callie knows my rates—just ask her if you''re ever in need."

    "Perfect!" Portia grinned.

Calliope brought Vivian over to the stacks of parcels, carefully going through the contents of each and showing her photos for reference.

"There are quite a few items, headed to a couple of different destinations," Calliope exined. “Take your time. If you run into any issues catti and above alt, be safe.

"Will do," Vivian replied, already getting down to business. She started lifting the boxes with a surprising amount of strength and skill. Just a few minutes everything was loaded neatly in her SUV.

Portia stared, thoroughly impressed. "She''s seriously cool!"

"She always has been," Calliope agreed, her tone one of admiration.

"Has Vivian always done this kind of work? I always pictured this as a man''s job. She''s so petite!”
