Take 731

    Chapter 731

    Judy’s POV

“Matt, go and get your shoes on!” I say as I walk past his bedroom door.

My excitement was evident in my tone as 1 made my way down the stairs, smiling at Irene as I reached the bottom step.

“I’ll go make sure he’s getting his shoes on,” Irene said as she walked past me.

“Thanks,” I say. “We have to get going soon. I don’t want to bete.”

“Nan will understand if we are a few minuteste. It didn’t help that you had morning sickness literally all morning.”

This pregnancy was seriously getting to me; I was a little over 4 months pregnant, and I was already feeling the toll of this baby. I stared down at my small bump and sighed.

“Are you ever going to let me eat food again?” I asked my unborn baby.

“Talking to the baby again? You know it can’t hear you right?” Gavin said, walking around the corner with a smirk.

I roll my eyes at him.

“You don’t know that. She could be listening right now,” I said, closing the small gap between us so I could kiss him.

    “She?”

    I shrugged.

“I think we are having a girl,” I say with a slight smile tugging at the corner of my lips.

“And if we are having a boy?”

“I’ll love him just as much,” I reply.

He kisses me again, and just as he was about to deepen it…

“Ew, get a room,” Matt said as he walked down the stairs, followed by Irene, who wasughing.

“Oh, you’ll understand one day, little man,” Irene said, rubbing his head yfully.

“Doubt it,” Matt said, crinkling his nose. “Kissing is gross.”

“Says an 8–year–old,” Irene retorted. “But when you turn into a teenager, you’ll want to kiss all the pretty girls.” She mocks kissing noises, making his crinkle his nose even more. Iughed at their dynamics; I was d to hear them bickering like real siblings again. For a while, Matt and Irene actively avoided one another since Irene moved back into the vi, but now they are getting their rtionship back, and it warmed my heart to see it.

“Are we finally ready?” Gavin asked, looking between his children and then at me.

    “Yes,” I told him, smiling.

I was excited. Tonight was Nan’s big break… she was opening her very first resteraunt in the Silver Crescent pack, with the support of Delta Patrick Carter and course, Gavin. She had been working tirelessly since her weddingst month, since Delta Carter presented his sponsorship as a wedding gift.

She had been a chaotic mess since returning from her honeymoon and Chester had taken some time off from his job at the mansion to help her make her dreams a reality.

It was opening night for her; she spent weeks training a staff and putting everything up today, and now it was finally time to showcase all her hard work.

The restaurant featured all of Nan’s best dishes that she’s created Herself over the years.

I was excited to watch my best friend blossom into the woman she was meant to be, with her mate by her side.

Most of the ce will be filled with friends and family, and a few pk members who want to show their support.

Sampson and Lucy were also going to be there because Nati was off of theirs, and Lucy and Nan became friends since the wedding.

After piling into the car, Gavin drove us through the pack until we reached the gorgeous building with therge sign that read: Howling Spoon.

I smiled at the name that Nan chose for her restaurant.

It was a small ce, but it waspletely Nan. The outside seating hadn’t quite been set up yet, but once it is set up, it’ll have a nice view of the pds, especially the nightlife.

I could see inside from therge floor–to–ceiling windows, which remained curtainless for right now.

Nan was seated inside, speaking to Sampson and Lucy. She had a kid smile on her face, but I could tell from her eyes she was

    nervous.

We weren’t the first to arrive, but as soon as we got there, others started to pile in as well, making the ce look lively and packed. 1

Nan’s eyes grew wide when she saw the crowd of familiar faces, all there to support her.

Chester came out from the kitchen, his eyes also darting around at the crowd of people, and then he looked at Nan, his gaze softening and a loving expression taking over.

Nan’s gaze shifted and met mine, and then I saw her body rxing as she excused herself from her current conversation to

    greet me.

“You made it,” she said, throwing her arms around me,

We’ve both been so busy this past month that we hardly saw each other. It was nice being back with my best friend; it was like no time hade between us.
