Chapter 510

When it came to Naomi, was there really anything Tristan didn''t get?

He exchanged a knowing grin with Kay.

"Ms. Winslet, once this is done, you''ll get exactly what you want from me."

    "Thanks, Tristan."

Their business finished, Kay turned as she left, ncing back in the direction Edwin and Naomi had gone.

You''ll regret picking Naomi, Edwin. Just wait and see.

On the way to the restaurant, Sylvia video-called Naomi. The call connected, and

there was Naomi, snuggled up with Edwin, all lovey-dovey. Sylvia felt awkward letting Lester see, so she kept it brief and hung up quickly.

Lester cleared his throat. "Looks like they''re really into each other."

    "Yeah," Sylvia nodded.

"You know, you could have that too," he said casually.

Sylvia turned to look at him, sincerity in her eyes. "Mr. Sanford, you know what I''m

going through right now. I''m just not ready for that."

"For now," Lester replied, zeroing in on the important part.

Sylvia couldn''t help butugh, a little exasperated.

Just then, the car pulled up to the hotel, and the conversation drifted away.

Lester had picked a restaurant on the top floor, famous for its gorgeous views of the city at night. Sylvia sat by the window, propping her chin on her hand, soaking in the music and atmosphere.

Lester ordered for them, and when he looked back up, he caught a glimpse of Sylvia illuminated by the city lights—her fair skin tinged with a soft blush. He found himself momentarily lost, just watching her.

    The food arrived.

Sylvia was about to dig in when Zion hurried over.

"Sir, there''s an issue with one of the projects. The folks at the branch are hoping you cane by right away."

    "Now?” Lester frowned, clearly annoyed.

Sylvia put down her fork and smiled. "Mr. Sanford, go take care of it. Next time, dinner''s on me."

"I''ll have Zion stay with you and drive you hometer," Lester insisted.

"No need," Sylvia shook her head. "It''s easy to get a cab here, and besides, you''re not familiar with Kingstoria''s roads. Let Zion go with you."

Lester considered this, then nodded. "Alright. Call me if anythinges up."

    "I will. Drive safe."

She waved as Lester left. Then she turned back to her dinner, enjoying the food at her own pace.

Halfway through, she noticed how beautiful the moon looked outside the window. She tried to snap a photo, but her camera skills weren''t up to the task-the pictures just didn''t do it justice.

She searched online for tips on moon photography and stumbled upon adocal post: "Sea Bliss Hotel

    Rooftop Bar-Best City Views,

Unbeatable Moon Shots!" The post even included camera settings.

Sylvia''s eyes lit up-she was already at the Sea Bliss Hotel''s rooftop restaurant! And the rooftop bar was just around the corner.

She''d spentst Christmas in the hospital and hardly got to have any fun. Alone tonight, she figured she deserved a little adventure—and a souvenir photo.

She paid her bill and made her way to the rooftop bar. Calling it a bar was generous; it was really just a terrace with some high tables and a killer view.

It was the middle of winter, and the ce waspletely empty.

Sylvia stood outside for a few

minutes, shivering until her legs went numb. She managed to snap a few photos. As she turned to leave, a handnded heavily on her shoulder.

"Hey there, gorgeous. What''s the point of moon-gazing all alone? How about somepany?"

The guy wore expensive clothes and reeked of booze-definitely not someone she wanted to mess with.

Sylvia took a breath, weighing her options. No need to start something in a fancy ce like this. She couldn''t afford to pay for any broken furniture.

She gently shrugged off his hand and stepped back, putting some distance between them.

"Sir, you''ve had too much to drink. My boyfriend''s waiting for me, so I''m gonna head out."
