Moran was stunned. "What? They''re not getting divorced for now? Why?"
Before Thorne could answer, a thought struck him. "Because of Jasmine?"
He asked because he knew how attached Jasmine had be to Charlely.
Thorne just hummed in agreement.
Moran then remembered something else. "And Charlene agreed to this?"
"Yeah."
Moran pursed his lips. "Really? I''m surprised. When you two first started the divorce proceedings, she gave up custody of Jasmine without a second thought. Besides, she''s doing incredibly well for herself now that she''s with Stewart. I heard she had dinner with him, Kenton, and the others at the Ramirez family''s ce yesterday. Apparently, the Ramirezes and Hickey are all quite fond of her."
Hearing this, Thorne raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Is that so?"
"Yeah, that''s what I heard from my family."
Thorne just smiled, not pressing for more details.
Later that day, when Moran spoke with Granger Harden, he mentioned that Thorne and Charlene were putting their divorce on hold for Jasmine''s sake.
Granger was taken aback. "Putting it on hold?"
"Yeah," Moran sighed. "I get it, it''s for the kid, but I can''t help but feel it''s pointless. They might not be officially divorced, but they''re still seeing other people. Thorne isn''t going to make Vesta wait forever; he''ll have to marry her eventually. Besides, doesn''t Jasmine like Vesta? I think Thorne should just talk to her. Maybe Jasmine would understand."
"What did Thorne say?" Granger asked.
"He had to go, so we didn''t talk much. But I guess he felt he had no choice. Jasmine is so attached to Charlene right now; she can''t bear to be apart from her. He''s probably worried Jasmine won''t be able to handle the news."
Granger just hummed in response.
...
That afternoon, after finishing her work at The Henderson Group, Charlene went out for a meal with Mr. Windsor and some colleagues.
When they arrived at the restaurant, they happened to run into Henley Hawkins and Laverne.
Mr. Windsor and the others knew Henley through Vesta, so they politely greeted him and Laverne.
Henley and Laverne smiled, shook their hands, and after exchanging pleasantries, their eyesnded on Charlene. Mr. Windsor hesitated,

Henley remained expressionless, but Laverne''s gaze instinctively hardened.
Mr. Windsor and his colleagues
were perceptive people. They assumed Henley and his sister
disliked Charlene because they knew
about Thorne''s apparent interest in her, which was causing problems between him and Vesta.
With that in mind, they offered a slightly awkward smile, dropped the idea of introduction and after another brief exchange, headed to their respective private rooms.
Throughout the entire encounter, Charlene didn''t spare Henley or Laverne a single nce, her expression cold and distant.
After Charlene''s group had walked away, Laverne''s eyes grew even colder. "She''s certainly getting full of herself."
Henley remained silent.
Vesta had gone to see Thorne yesterday, hoping to win him back. But while she did see him, it was only for a moment. They didn''t even end up having a meal together.
It seemed Thorne truly didn''t care about Vesta anymore.
And as for the mounting problems theirpany was facing, Vesta couldn''t find any opportunity to bring them up with him.
The pressure on them was growing by the day.
