?Chapter 1757:
Positioned beside their vehicles stood a familiar figure—Kylee.
Upon seeing the Happer family members emerging from Belinda’s ce, Kylee felt her heart sink with a crushing realization. She began moving toward them with heavy steps.
“Grandpa…” Kylee began.
“Whatever you want to say, we’ll talk about itter,” Galen responded evenly, his voice steady as he opened the car door and slid inside first.
The rest of the group followed, settling into their seats in their vehicles.
Atst, Mitchell called out to Kylee, “Kylee,e ride with me.”
“Okay,” Kylee replied, her voice trembling with emotion as she nodded. When they reached the Happer family’s residence, everyone gathered in the living room, except for Car.
The moment they stepped into the house, she hurried upstairs, deliberately steering clear of Kylee.
Abruptly, Kylee fell to her knees in a dramatic gesture.
With her head lowered, her face etched with anguish, guilt, and sorrow, she said, “Grandpa, I’m so sorry. I never should have pushed Mom at that crucial moment. I waspletely wrong! I don’t know what came over me, how I could do something so awful! I’ve been haunted by regret ever since, and I wish I could punish myself for it. Grandpa, please forgive me. I swear, it will never happen again. Please, give me another chance!”
Despite her heartfelt plea, the family’s expressions remainedposed, almost detached.
“Get up,” Galen said, his tone calm but firm as he looked at Kylee.
Biting her lip for a moment, Kylee shook her head defiantly. “No, I won’t stand! I need to make amends for what I did.”<fn59f0> Discover more novels at find·novel</fn59f0>
Galen let out a sharp, cold chuckle. “You want to kneel? Fine, stay there as long as you like.” Kylee’s face froze.

She had hoped her dramatic gesture would soften their hearts, but now, she felt trapped, unable to go back on her word.
“Kylee, you crossed a serious line this time! No matter how frightened you felt, you shouldn’t have shoved your mother toward danger, especially when she was risking everything to protect you! To push her toward the robbers like that? Have you even considered the pain that caused her? The heartbreak and disappointment she must be feeling?” Leah eximed.
Kylee nodded frantically. “I know, I know I messed up! But… I was just so scared at that moment; that’s why I reacted that way. I can’t even exin what got into me…”
Tears streamed down her face, but her crying elicited little response from the others.
Only Mitchell frowned, a faint flicker of sympathy crossing his face. Yet, as he recalled Kylee’s actions, he let out a heavy sigh and looked away.
Then, Nn spoke up, his voice measured. “That’s enough. What’s done can’t be undone. No amount of words will erase the pain you caused your mother. This isn’t something an apology can fix overnight, so Kylee, give your mother some time.”
“But… But…” Kylee stammered, tears still falling, reluctant to give up.
