?Chapter 1648:
Belinda nodded. “Once we pick a date, we’ll let them know.”
“Alright,” Lucas said, cing some food onto Belinda’s te.
“By the way, I saw Kylee in Barbara’s hospital room earlier today,” Belinda said nonchntly.
“Kylee?” Lucas raised an eyebrow.
Belinda exined, “Yes, Kylee and Zaria seem to be friends, and they have a pretty good rtionship. But something about Kylee’s behavior today struck me as strange.”
Lucas leaned in. “How so?”
Belinda’s eyes narrowed slightly, her voice lowering. “In front of the Wright family, Kylee referred to me as her sister. You know, she has never referred to me like that before. Our rtionship has always been like fire and icepletely at odds. Yet today, she deliberately called me her sister, as if she wanted the Wrights to hear it. And after she said it, Mr. Wright immediately asked who she was and learned she was Car’s daughter.”
She looked at Lucas. “Do you recall how Mr. Wright had that intense headache when Car’s name was mentioned?”
“I do.” Lucas nodded, thinking about the matter for a moment. “So, you think Kylee might know something?”
“Exactly,” Belinda said, her brow furrowed, a sudden realization dawning. “Remember that time I dined with Nni and Mr. Wright, and we ran into Kylee as we left the private room? Kylee went out of her way to talk to Mr. Wright at that time, like she was trying to get his attention.”
Lucas gave a soft chuckle after hearing that. “It sounds like Zaria might have shared something with Kylee. Given Elwood’s reaction to Car’s name, it’s likely they had a history. But the rest of the Wright family seems to dislike the mention of Car.”
“I’ve picked up on that, too,” Lucas said, his brow furrowing. “It’s odd, don’t you think? Why is Kylee so determined to cozy up to Mr. Wright? It feels like she’s deliberately trying to stir his memories of Car. What does she stand to gain from this?”

This was also the part Belinda couldn’t figure out.
Lucas lowered his voice, his tone measured. “Kylee and Zaria are definitely hiding something. But since it doesn’t involve us directly, we shouldn’t get too caught up in it.”
“You’re right,” Belinda agreed, exhaling softly. “I was just curious.”
Lucas smiled, but then his face quickly grew serious. He met Belinda’s eyes. “There’s something I need to share with you.”
Belinda turned to look at him.<fna465> Follow current nov?ls on fινdnοvel</fna465>
Lucas hesitated for a moment before continuing. “I’ve had people monitoring the security team at Mount Tuky for days now. So far, they haven’t found anything out of the ordinary.”
