Chapter 797

Idris said, "Yeah, Susanna really did go with Hull to Yarrow Ind in Nalog City."

"She called Miss Yvonne, but it wasn''t anything serious. She just wanted to chat." Ronald let out a soft sigh of relief.

Back when Star was having her pregnancy check-ups, Susanna was always calling her. Ronald had really worried something might have happened.

And now Star was pregnant with triplets. He couldn''t afford any more of Susanna''s drama-one outburst from her could send Star into a tailspin.

    But Hull...

"Hull took her and didn''t tell Yvonne?" Ronald asked.

Idris shook his head. "From what Susanna said, she wasn''t really sure, but judging by Yvonne''s reaction, Hull definitely didn''t give her a heads up."

If Hull had let Yvonne know, she wouldn''t have stormed off to ck Gate.

And of course, if she went, Xander would follow.

Now the whole ck Gate was a mess-worse than a henhouse at feeding time. Ronald squeezed his eyes shut for a moment.

Idris continued, "Lincoln, the guy who always shadows Mr. Miguel, already went to ck Gate. Looks like he''s setting up some big move there."

Not telling Yvonne meant she was a key piece in whatever game he was ying.

Ronald snorted with a halfugh. "Of course he''s scheming something big. Otherwise, how would he ever win over his mother-inw?"

Idris blinked. "Uh... yeah, good point."

Everyone knew how Hull felt about Susanna by now.

It was wild, really-Hull had never looked twice at a woman before, and now, just like that, he''d fallen for Susanna.

Since he liked her, of course he''d help out her mom and handle the ck Gate mess.

"So, should we give Yvonne a heads up?" Idris asked.

Yvonne had a fiery temper, and right now, she was so in the dark she could probably bite Dan''s head off if given the chance.

Ronald shook his head. "No need. Xander''s there. Nothing''s going to happen."

Speaking of Xander, Idris couldn''t help but marvel. The guy had obsessed over Ste for ages, and then-bam-suddenly married

    Yvonne. The speed and

    of

it all was enough to make anyone''s

    head spin.

    "Alright."

Idris hung up, and Ronald made his way back to the dining room. Ste had almost finished eating.

When she saw him, she beamed, "I saved you two pancakes."

    Ronald''s heart melted.

She''d always been like that, ever since she was a kid-saving the best bites for him, always making sure he and Yvonne got their share, no matter how much she wanted it herself.

He walked over and gently pinched her cheek. "If you want more, eat up."

Ste shook her head. "No, you have them."

Ever since he found out she was pregnant, Ronald had stopped fussing over how much she ate. And

now, knowing it was triplets, he was doubling down-she needed all the nutrition she could get.

He pulled her into hisp. "Star, what do you think about us moving out? Just the two of us?"

"Huh?" Ste stared at him, wide-eyed.

Ronald couldn''t help thinking his mom had gotten a little too involvedtely-especially with the bedroom situation. Now that they knew about the triplets, she''d definitely insist on them sleeping in separate rooms. Just thinking about it gave him a headache.

Ste protested, "Why do you suddenly want to move out? I like living here."

She wasn''t like most women who struggled with living under the same roof as their mother-inw. Ste had grown up with Lottie, so there was never any tension between them.

    She didn''t want to leave.

Ronald looked at her. "I just want our own ce."

Somewhere it could be just him and Star.

Ste tugged at his shirt, pouting. "But I want to live with Mom and Yvonne. I miss

    them when they''re not around."
