Chapter 116

Noelle looked up with a nk expression. "I don''t have any ns."

"Hey, what''s with your attitude? Get up! I told you to stand up. Didn''t you hear me?"

She immediately stood up, pushing her chair back sharply.

Isaac was startled. "You''re just a newbie. Are you looking for trouble? She''s the heiress of the Liddell family!"

    Noelle scoffed. "Her? An heiress?"

"If she''s not an heiress, do you think you are?" he retorted.

Upon sensing that the situation was getting out of hand, Xenia quickly intervened. "It''s okay. Everyone, please treat me like a neer.

"There''s no need to be so formal. Don''t let this turn into an argument."

Isaac immediately fawned. "Ms. Liddell is right."

Noelle turned to the restroom, not wanting to deal with Xenia''s presence. While she was washing her hands, Xenia stood at the door, smugly saying, "I didn''t expect you to be here." Noelle ignored the bitch beside her.

Xenia somewhat begrudgingly continued, "Noelle, don''t be upset. Lucas personally told me toe supervise the firewall project. Frank knows about it, too."

Noelle''s sudden eagerness to be at thepany was suspicious. Who knew if she regretted leaving home and was trying to return?

Noelle shook the water off her hands, sshing it onto Xenia''s skirt.

Xenia immediately fumed. "What are you doing? Do you know how expensive this skirt is?"

Noelle sneered. "I know it''s expensive, which is why I did it. You''d better hope you never get exposed, or you''ll end up back where you belong. You probably won''t ever be able to afford clothes this expensive." Xenia felt humiliated, her gaze burning with resentment as she red at Noelle''s retreating figure.

"One day, I''ll crush you beneath my feet, Noelle," she thought.

Noelle returned to the office area and had just sat down when Isaac threw a stack of documents onto her desk. "Hey, newbie. Finish all these. You''re not leaving until you do  en FindNovel

She took the documents and ced them beside her, continuing to test the software without refusing or saying she would do it. He was about to lose his temper but turned his attention to Xenia when she appeared.

A female colleague near Noelle whispered, "Isaac seems pretty eager to please. Do you think he''s interested in Ms. Liddell?" "How could Ms. Liddell be interested in someone like him? He''s just a small group leader, but he''s been acting all high and mighty."

"Hey there, be careful. If thepany has a dinner gathering, don''t drink any alcohol."

Noelle turned her head, shing a faint smile. "Got it. Thanks for the heads up."

She wasn''t going to attend anypany dinners.

At the end of the day, Xenia said, "Today''s my first day, so I''d like to treat everyone to dinner tonight."

Thepany staff all eagerly agreed. Noelle finished organizing the issues she had tested and stood up, preparing to leave.

Xenia looked at her. "Let''s go together. I''ll give you a ride."

"No need. You all go ahead."

With a calm expression, Noelle left without a second thought, showing no concern for Xenia''s pride.

Xenia felt embarrassed, but she maintained a gracious front. "I''ve known her for a while. I didn''t expect her to be the same still."

Isaac quickly added, "I can''t believe

she knows you, Ms. Liddell. She had such a great opportunity, and she didn''t seize it. It''s no wonder she can''t find any good jobs! I''ll teach her a lesson tomorrow!"

She smiled but didn''t respond. Then, Xenia and thepany staff went to the restaurant, where Frank and Lucas were also waiting.

"Frank, Lucas, what are you doing here?"

Frank looked around eagerly and asked Xenia, "Where''s Noelle? Why isn''t she here?"
