Chapter 577

Noelle had originally prepared a script of harshnguage, of which Grace had

even helped here up with the lines. But at that moment, Cedric was standing right in front of her, and she had only finished saying a single sentence before tears started streaming down her face.

Even she herself had not expected to cry that hard.

Cedric was stunned. He immediately used his towel to wipe her tears for her. "I was not with any other woman that night."

Noelle shoved his hand away. "Cedric, I''ve been thinking things through for the past few days. I think we should break up."

His pupils contracted the moment he heard the words ''break up.'' He refused her without even the slightest bit of hesitation. "No, I won''t agree to this."

Noelle wiped her tears and continued, "Whether you agree or not doesn''t matter, Cedric. I''m serious when I say that we''re not right for each other."

Cedric was slightly angered. "Noelle, we''ve only been together for such a short time. How do you know that we''re not right for each other already? Or are you suggesting that we break up because you''ve fallen for another guy?"

He realized that was the reason why she had been ignoring him for the past few days.

Noelle pped his hand away. "Say whatever you like. Weren''t you the one who said that there would be plenty of handsome guys my age in university?

"Weren''t you the one who said that I''d start a new life there? You were right; I get along better with people my own age."

Cedric stared at her with a deep gaze, seemingly hiding a storm of emotions. "Noelle! I know that you''re just saying all of this out of anger."

"I mean all of it! Let go of me! I''m leaving!"

He pinned her against the ropes in the boxing ring with a firm grip and exined, "You got me into this. Do you think that you can just break up with me whenever you like and walk away?"

He lowered his head to try and kiss her, and she just turned her face away to dodge him. But in the end, she could not possibly match his strength.

Cedric locked Noelle in his embrace. His kiss was anything but gentle. If anything, it was almost possessive.

    Noelle was furious. She wondered

what he had taken her to be. She bit down on his lips and then pped him across the face. "Cedric, you already have a fiancee, so why are you still messing with me?!"

He was stunned. "I don''t have a fiancee."

"Hah! You don''t have a fiancee, you say? Then what''s the deal with the news? Why did they report that you''re getting married to Ms. Merlock? How long were you nning to keep this from me?!"

She stared at him dead in the eyes and continued, "You''re the heir of the Greene family, aren''t you?"

Cedric''s hand trembled. He instinctively reached out to grab her, but she dodged to the side. His hand grabbed onto empty space before being suspended in mid-

    air.

He did not even know what kind of expression he should be making at that moment. He just looked at her his voice hoarse. "I was nning to tell you the truth today, but you''ve been angry the entire time. I was afraid that you might be even more upset if I had told you about it."

He never expected that Noelle already knew about his true identity. He finally realized the reason why she had been acting so strangely for the past two days. All that time he had thought that she was just mad at him for not replying to her messages.

Noelle''s gaze was filled with mockery. "Do you think that we could still be together after you told me the truth?"

Cedric recalled that he had asked her the same question, to which she answered that she would opt for a breakup.

He cautiously exined, "Laura and I have never been engaged! It was just something that my mom and the Merlock family decided by themselves. I never agreed to it!"

Noelle felt a strange feeling in her heart when she thought about Emma. She recalled how Emma had always treated her well back then.

She then realized that on that day at L Bistro, Emma must have already known about her rtionship with Cedric, which would exin why Emma did not even greet or talk to her.

Noelle wiped her tears and replied, "But you never replied to my messages that night! When I called your phone, it was Laura who answered the call!"
