Noelle was still shaken by the memories of that photo. Xenia''s father, Sean, was still alive! That car ident all those years ago wasn''t as it seemed.


    Donovan sounded skeptical. "What do you mean by that, Noelle? Of course, Xenia''s father is dead.


    "He saved you, then went back to save Mom and Dad. But then the car exploded, and he died along with them."


    Noelle pressed. "If the explosion destroyed everything, then surely you couldn''t have seen his face. Are you absolutely sure the person who died was Xenia''s father?"


    "Of course! How could that be wrong? I saw him driving the car myself!" Donovan eximed.


    Noelle frowned. So, there was no mistake? But the man in the photo she saw was definitely Sean. So where was the problem?


    She spoke coldly. "What if Xenia''s father never died?"


    "That''s impossible! Noelle, are you just making excuses so you don''t have to feel indebted to Xenia? Are you saying her father is still alive?" Donovan was furious.


    Noelle found itughable. "You never doubted it? Not even once?"


    Donovan scoffed. "Do you think I didn''t investigate the ident? All I found was that it was rted to the Merlock family.


    "There were no other leads. If you''re so capable, why don''t you investigate it yourself?"


    Noelle took a deep breath. "Did no one ever question our driver?"


    Had Donovan never suspected anything or noticed anything unusual? Donovan groaned. "Xenia''s father is dead. Why are you obsessing over a dead man?"


    Noelle finally understood that no one in the Liddell family had ever suspected the driver. But now, she suspected that Xenia''s father might be connected to the Merlock family. Yet, as far as she knew, there was no grudge between the Merlock family and her parents.


    Noelle wanted to mention this to Donovan but decided against it, seeing how stubborn he was. If she told him now, she might alert the enemy.


    Donovan was still angry. "Noelle, I never thought you could be this heartless. ke was manipted into treating you that way. Can''t you give him another chance?"


    "Only God gives second chances. I just send people to Him." With that, Noelle hung up. She would investigate this herself. Donovan didn''t believe her anyway.

    Once she caught Sean and got solid evidence, she would throw it right in Donovan''s face. Noelle stood up and nced to the side, where the elegant woman from earlier was now standing at the staircase, speaking to a nurse.


    Emma walked to the stairwell, nning to take the emergency exit.


    Her assistant, now disguised as a nurse, had already scouted ahead. "Mrs. Liddell, I''ve found the girl''s room, but Mr. Cedric has assigned guards at every exit, along with a team from TG Public Rtions. It won''t be easy for you to get close."


    "He even got TG Public Rtions involved? He must really love that girl. I want to


    see how that vixen seduced my son."


    Emma was surprised. That level of protection was something only her future daughter-inw would receive. Yet Cedric had already given the girl such special treatment.


    This wasn''t good. Emma turned to her assistant. "Keep gathering information. I''ll figure out another way."


    After the assistant left, Emma walked over to Noelle. "What are you looking at, youngdy?"


    "I''m passing the time by watching ants move." Noelle looked at the well-dressed woman. "Are you here to visit a patient?"


    "Yes, I''ll be going up soon. But tell me, how did you get hurt? This doesn''t look like


    an idental injury. It looks like someone beat you."


    Emma''s sharp eyes instantly recognized that Noelle''s injuries were from a physical altercation.
