Sea God Sect.
As the most prestigious Sect on Jiaolong Ind, it recently kept its Great Formation fully activated, waves shimmering as it strictly prohibited its Cultivators from leaving.
Within the main hall of the Sect.
"Great Elder, thest batch of Spirit Materials and Spirit Stones required for the Dragon Transformation Pool has also been collected," Sect Master Han Qiu said with a worried look in his eyes as he reported to Great Elder Hanyuan, "We cannot dy matters concerning the Demon King."
"Indeed, we cannot afford to dy matters concerning the Demon King," Hanyuan frowned deeply and after a long period of thought, he said, "I will make a personal trip and deliver this batch of Spirit Materials to the Demon King."
Han Qiu’s face showed pleasure; this response was exactly what he hoped for. "Then I’ll have to trouble the Great Elder."
...
"Sword Master, these little snakes are indeed cautious," a barely audible murmur came from somewhere above the skies outside the Sea God Sect. Mo Yan’s sneaky ambush resulted in the fall of four Golden Core Cultivators from their Sect, yet instead of escting into a full-blown conflict, they chose to shut their Sect and fortify their defenses."
Hidden within the dense clouds, two figures were concealed, staring intently at the Sea God Sect’s gate enveloped by the Great Formation.
"No rush, ording to our intelligence, within a few days, they will inevitablye out," said the Cultivator known as Sword Master in a deep voice.
The Sword Master was a middle-aged male Cultivator, standing no taller than five feet, with a hint of gray visible on his head. Yet, he exuded amanding presence, his aura as deep as an abyss, clearly a Great Cultivator of the Nascent Soul Early Stage.
What was surprising was that the right sleeve of the Sword Master was empty.
For a Nascent Soul Cultivator, being one-armed was extremely rare, since for Great Cultivators of the Nascent Soul stage, regrowing limbs was by no means a difficult feat.
The Cultivator who had been grumbling to the Sword Master was a tall and lean strong man, with a beard like iron spikes and thick, untamed hair that looked like wild grass.
He was the second-inmand of the Dragon ying Saber, next to the Sword Master—Cultivator Tongzheng, with the Cultivation of Golden Core Perfection.
From these two, it could be seen that Mo Yan’s statement about the Dragon ying Saber being far superior to the Sea God Sect was indeed unquestionably true.
With the Sword Master’s Cultivation at the Nascent Soul Early Stage, he could almost obliterate the Sea God Sect single-handedly.
"They’vee out indeed!" Tongzheng suddenly said, spotting an extremely faint and barely visible blue light escaping from a hidden corner of the Sea God Sect, which was the Escaping Light of a Sect Cultivator.
The Escaping Light just flew below them, but it did not notice the two people hidden above.
"Big catch, it is Old Hanyuan himself who has taken action," the Sword Master, seeing the face of the Cultivator steering the Escaping Light, his eyes gleaming sharply, quickly instructed, "Follow him, we’ll make our move out on the sea!"
"Understood," replied Tongzheng.
Out at sea, where the terrain is wide open and unobstructed, that was the best time to make a move and ensure a near-certain kill.
The two silently tailed the Sea God Sect’s Great Elder, following closely behind.
It was only because they were Great Nascent Soul Cultivators that they had such means to conceal their presence from the Great Elder’s Divine Sense, allowing them to follow the Golden Core Perfection Cultivator Hanyuan without detection.
...
The Hidden Reef Jiao n was the most numerous among the Jiao ns in the coastal region of the South Sea, with the n nearing a thousand Jiao in number.
Due to the presence of the Jiaolong Demon King, the Hidden Reef Jiao n was also implicitly considered the most powerful Sea Demon n in this part of the South Sea.
N?v(el)B\\jnn
Hidden Reef was the name of the domain where the Jiao n lived; it was a vast area below the sea surface concealing colossal underwater caves.
The Jiao n made their homes in the underwater caverns of the sea.
Jiao, a member of the dragon family, looks simr to a snake with four limbs, known for their fierce temperament and carnivorous nature. Indolent and resistant to control, they have always been ipatible with the Human Race, often resulting in conflicts.
In the Hidden Reef Domain, the waters were as smooth as ss, tranquil beyondparison.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a loud boom exploded above the Hidden Reef Domain, followed by a ck shadow plummeting straight from the sky at a tremendous speed. Upon hitting the surface of the sea, it caused a huge sound and stirred up towering waves.
This great disturbance immediately attracted over a dozen Second Grade Jiao Beasts who hurriedly swam out from the underwater caverns to investigate the situation.
Within the sight of the Jiao Beasts, there was a corpse slowly sinking.
Moo Moo Moo!
When the Jiao Beasts approached and clearly saw the corpse’s face, they all let out furious roars.
...
Inside the cavern, within a stone cave brimming with Spiritual Power, there coiled a terrifying Jiao Beast of unfathomable length, pitch-ck in color with an especially fierce and vicious appearance.
Its enormous eyes were fixed on its trembling fellow Jiao Beasts under its suppression, and the corpse of the Human Cultivator, with a chilling tone, "Who is it! Who is it! Someone had the audacity toy hands on Hanyuan, knowing full well that he is one of our Jiao n.
To kill Hanyuan is one thing, but to throw his body into our Jiao n’s waters is an outright provocation of the Hidden Reef Jiao n’s might!"
Its voice boomed like thunder, causing the stone cave to tremble slightly.
"Lord Jiao Yan, the Demon King has been preparing for the Transforming into a Dragon for so long, and yet this incident urs right at the climactic moment. In my opinion, it is very likely a conspiracy against the Demon King," a fellow Jiao Beast said with a trembling voice.
Boom!
The terrifying Jiao Beast known as Lord Jiao Yan, swept his tail in anger. His tail struck the hard stone wall, immediately causing it to crack and stones to fly.
"I don’t care about any conspiracy. My father needs to build the Dragon Transformation Pool to assist his transformation, and a vast portion of the Spirit Materials required cannot be found in the sea but must be prepared by the Sea God Sect for us.
The person who struck down Hanyuan even took the Spirit Materials Hanyuan was delivering for the Dragon Transformation Pool.
If we do not retrieve these materials, the Dragon Transformation Pool cannot be fully formed. Not to mention the dy in my father’s transformation, there is a great possibility that it could affect the sess rate of his transformation!"
"The Sea God Sect Cultivators must know the origin of the person who took action. I myself shall visit the Sea God Sect and rify the situation, to help my father retrieve these Spirit Materials," Jiao Yan dered furiously.
The fellow Jiao Beasts dared not say any more.
Neither of the two Jiao Beasts in the stone cave noticed that, in the seemingly lifeless yet wide-open left eye of Hanyuan, the pitch-ck pupil was flickering with an imperceptible glimmer.
In a secluded ce, the Sword Master, who personally killed Hanyuan and threw his body into the Hidden Reef Domain, stood side by side with the True Cultivator Tongzheng. In front of them, a watery screen materialized out of thin air, disying a scene that showed the conversation between the two Jiao Beasts inside the stone cave.
"Sword Master, just as you predicted, Jiao Yan has decided to take matters into his own hands," True Cultivator Tongzheng said excitedly, "This baiting strategy is brilliant!"
"It’s all within expectations. Jiao Yan is brutal and excessively arrogant. Given our tant provocation, how could he possibly not react?" The Sword Master’s eyes shed with a fierce light, "Jiao Yan is the only direct descendant of the Jiaolong Demon King’s bloodline.
If we manage to capture him alive and then use him to lure the Jiaolong Demon King into action, even if the Demon King is usuallyposed, he surely won’t be able to stay put in hisir this time!"
Above the Hidden Reef Domain, a ck Jiao Dragon, over thirty feet in length, leaped from the sea, soaring into the sky and causing countless white foam as it headed straight for Jiaolong Ind.
