"Part of the [Sequence Six] Supernatural Knowledge?!"
Chen Lun was somewhat astonished.
But he had no intention of staying there long, so he suppressed his emotions and without another nce at that giant hand, he began to make his escape.
He fled in a certain direction for several minutes and only stopped once he had confirmed that the so-called "Deste Giant" was not pursuing him.
He took a deep breath and took out a palm-sized notebook from his ring.
[Supernatural Knowledge – Destiny Faction Sequence Six – Aerial Acrobat (1/4)]
This was something he had snatched from Molimer that night, sadly it was only one-quarterplete.
Added to the Supernatural Knowledge he had just acquired, he now had two iplete portions of [Sequence Six].
"This ce is too dangerous, there''s even a Mid Sequence level contaminated creature lurking around... Just one nce took away 10 points of my Sanity, if I hadn''t had the statue''s reserve of Sanity, I might have been done for."
Contaminated creatures, as the name suggests, are Supernatural Creatures that have been tainted by mysterious substances. They typicallyck Sanity, are severely corrupted by contamination, and are generally very powerful.
Chen Lun was still shaking from the scare.
He didn''t know if dying here would count as truly dying.
He used his staff for divination and the prediction seemed to be negative, but it seemed that if he died, bad things were likely to happen.
This made Chen Lun breathe a little easier.
But he didn''t dare to gamble; it was better to avoid death if he could.
"Indeed, this ce is a mix of danger and opportunity..."
He had merely nced at that giant hand and peered into the Supernatural Knowledge of a small part of [Nature Faction Sequence Six – Berry Picker].
Perhaps he could gather the Supernatural Knowledge he needed for future advancement here...
"In any case, I must still be cautious."
Chen Lun admonished himself.
He resettled his equipment, took a look around, and followed his intuition in a certain direction.
About ten minutester.
He discovered an item out of ce in the environment, a dirty doll in the shape of a radish, hanging from a tree and swaying in the wind.
Chen Lun stopped in his tracks.
He warily scoped out the surroundings and noticed a white fluffy figure gently shaking not far from the radish doll.
[Peeping Eye of Fate]!
He cast a nce at the white figure but only got a small piece of information.
It was a contaminated creature called "Rabbit Man," roughly equivalent in strength to a [Sequence Nine] Transcendent.
Beep!
The figure''s head suddenly sprouted tworge ears, turned swiftly, and its crimson eyes fixed straight on Chen Lun. It had the head of a rabbit but the body of a human, looking like a muscr man in a rabbit headpiece.
"Hahaha...!"
The rabbit head cackled viciously and got to its feet, charging at Chen Lun frantically.
The voice was bizarre, resembling that of an old woman.
Chen Lun''s face was expressionless as he swung his silver staff overhead, smashing it down on the Rabbit Man''s forehead.
Bang!!@@novelbin@@
The massive rabbit head burst apart on impact, two red eyes ejected and spattered about as gore flew in all directions.
Chen Lun coolly sidestepped; the Rabbit Man, with its head destroyed save for a mouth, stillughing oddly, ran forward a few steps, arms iling wildly before it copsed with a thud.
[Killing the Rabbit Man! You''ve gained 800 Experience Points and Low Sequence Supernatural Material "Red Eyes" (Nature Faction)!]
Chen Lun stood where he was, looking down at the corpse.
"There''s even a reward for killing it?!"
His eyebrows rose, and immediately a term came to mind—
Dungeon!
This fictional world named "Immortal Realm" was extremely simr to a dungeon!
Chen Lun''s excitement began to surge. If this were the case, did he not possess a portable dungeon? As long as he saved enough Sanity Value, he could "enter the dungeon" at any time!
He tightened his grip on the Silver Staff in his hand, feeling as though he had discovered a vast treasure.
A drop of blood had inadvertently smeared on his cheek, faintly carrying the scent of strawberry jam.
Chen Lun reached out to wipe it off, frowning slightly.
"What in the world are all these things... None of them seem normal."
The white corpse on the ground began to disintegrate and subsequently "merged" into the ground.
However, bizarrely, a half-translucent small marble was left in its ce.
Chen Lun let out a light exmation, walked over, and picked it up.
[Obtained Low Sequence Pure Substance]
"To think that this ce could produce such things..."
Chen Lun was astonished.
[Pure Substance] Unlike the [Mysterious Substance] of other factions, it doesn''t contain interference from other Sequence supernatural powers and can cover all categories. Its uses are extremely broad.
Of course, its value is also much higher than that of ordinary [Mysterious Substance].
"What other secrets are hidden here, waiting for me to unearth...?"
Chen Lun thought to himself.
He stored the half-translucent marble into his panel and continued to explore ahead.
Half an hourter, he finally discovered another peculiar thing.
Ahead was a small mound of earth with a concave top, from which orange-red magma was continuously erupting, like a mini volcano.
A palm-sized worm covered in ck and red spikes was crawling within the magma.
Chen Lun didn''t dare to take it lightly. He cautiously approached, picked up a stone, and flicked it with his finger.
With a muffled thud, the worm was hit, flung into the air, and then rolled down from the "volcano,"nding not far in front of Chen Lun.
It hadn''t died. It flipped itself over as if nothing had happened and crawled back toward the "volcano," seemingly trying to return to the magma.
Experience tales at empire
"Huff..."
Chen Lun exhaled a breath of turbid air and chose to hold his breath.
The air around him was filled with the pungent odor of sulfur, and the temperature was also on the high side. It seemed that the air held hidden harmful substances.
He once again used [Peeping Eye of Fate] to obtain a small amount of information on the strange worm.
"Demon Worm"—
A special type of polluted creature, generally non-aggressive, but extremely resilient. Nearly max-level Hell Resistance and Poison Resistance, and its spikes contain Supernatural Toxin.
Chen Lun watched the demon worm slowly crawl and suddenly had an idea.
"If I could acquire its traits, wouldn''t my ability to survive improve even further?"
[Animal Mimicry], in theory, could only copy the traits of ordinary creatures and not be used on Supernatural Creatures, unless Chen Lun could ascend to a higher Sequence, which might make it possible.
But previously, Angel Maggie had bestowed him with a Blessing, [Beast Tamer] all skill levels +1, [Animal Mimicry] had broken through the max level limit, so perhaps it was worth a try.
Chen Lun stepped forward and extended his hand toward the demon worm.
Its spikes grazed the scales on his hand, producing a crisp friction sound.
Chen Lun''s eyes sharpened.
[You used the skill [Animal Mimicry LVMAX+1], acquiring the corresponding traits from the target]
[Hell Resistance]
Trait description: Your resistance to me, high temperatures, and toxins has greatly increased! You can secrete Supernatural Toxin through your body surface!
