Chapter 162 - Chapter 161: New Player Hints

Chapter 162: Chapter 161: New yer Hints

There were plenty of spaces left on theputers in Chen Mo’s experience store, but the massage chairs were all upied. There were also many who were hanging out on the sofa or in the meeting room, and even some who sat at theputers ying Onmyoji.

“Hurry, I started a hunt,e join!” said Wen Lingwei.

“Senior, what’s that name? Thunderbolt ghost hunting team?” eximed Chang Xiuya.

“I refuse to join!” asserted Qian Kun.

“It’s fine isn’t it? Isn’t it better than ‘the bugger team’[1]?”

Qian Kun shook his head, “I’d rather join the bugger team!”

Chen Mo was speechless, “How could you visit the experience store everyday, ying games, instead of searching for a job even though you’ve graduated?”

Wen Lingwei nced at Chen Mo, “Find a job? I’m not taking any of those garbage jobs. I charge five thousand RMB per drawing anyways, it makes no difference if I have an actual job or not.”

    “Makes sense...”

Obviously the experience store was the first ce taken over by Onmyoji. Wen Lingwei and Chang Xiuya couldn’t wait to y the game before it was released. Zou Zhuo, who spent all his time ying Warcraft was dragged into it too.

And when the game officiallyunched, they got through the story rtively quickly borrowing their experience form before.

Chang Xiuya handed her phone to Wen Lingwei, “Senior, I can’t beat this story level...”

Wen Lingwei was speechless and grabbed her phone, making changes to her strategy.

“Equip your souls. You need to train your Shikigami too. How could you beat the story levels without training your Shikigamis.

“Your team is a bit weird too, why are you still bringing your N rarity cards... You should train your Yuki Onna for a bit.”

Wen Lingwei adjusted her strategy as she exined to Chang Xiuya to help her beat the levels.

Chang Xiuya was your typical gamer who didn’t care too much aboutbat. Instead, she paid more attention to the artwork, music and story. Of course, this resulted in her unable to beat the story levels...

Zheng Hongxi eximed, “Huh? I got an SSR.”

This sentence gathered everyone in the first floor of the experience store.

    “Huh? SSR?”

“What, there’s SSR? in this game? Why have I never seen one before?”

“My goodness, it’s the first SSR in your hunt! Let’s see what it is!”

    Everyone was gathered around him.

Zheng Hongxi passed his phone to show everyone else. On his screen was an ashen haireddy with long legs, SSR Shikigami Aoandon.

This created a lot of chatter.

“Isn’t that Aoandon? I want it too!”

“My goodness, he really got an SSR. How did you do it!”

“Give me some of your luck!”

“Yeah, how did you get it, teach me your symbol drawing strategy!” asked Jia Peng.

Zheng Hongxi scratched his head, “I don’t know, I just drew a circle.”

“I’m drawing a circle too!” said Jia Peng.

Su Jinyu was speechless, “It doesn’t matter what you draw, it’s more about the process. Which card you get is decided by the RNG from the system.”

“I don’t care! Just let me have something good!” said Jia Peng.

Wen Lingwei said to Zheng, “Sell me your ount, I’m offering three hundred RMB!”

“I can’t sell it, there’s too many things associated with this ount, such as my ID and my phone number.” said Zheng Hongxi.

Jia Peng said after some thought,”What if i buy an ount with an SSR from the inte? They probably sell it there right?”

Chen Moughed, “You wish, that’s impossible.”

    Jia Peng was shocked, “Why?”

“You need a Thunderbolt Game Pass to download Onmyoji. And that pass must include ID, and phone number.”

“Geez! You’re not giving me any chances, manager!”

Chen Mo patted his shoulder, “Pleaseplete your assignment individually.”

Wen Lingwei silently put three hundred RMB into the game.

“I’ve only gotten two SR cards so far. I’m bringing shame to the lucky folk, I’m topping up!”

Su Jinyu advised against it, “Calm down, you just need to take your time. There are a lot of free jadeter on. Moreover, it’s not that SSR cards are the best, some R and SR cards are pretty good too.”

Wen Lingwei shook her head, “I don’t care, I want an SSR!”

Chen Mo couldn’t help but smile upon seeing their reaction/

Technically there wasn’t a need to have rules as strict as this for a mobile card game, requiring ID and phone number to be tied to your game pass. This was something only high tier VR games would do.

Other card games wouldn’t bat an eye when ites to abusing first draw ounts.

First draw ounts refers to new ounts that drew rare cards in the early stages of the game.

Most mobile card games would give the opportunity for the yers to experience drawing cards. And these cards can be good or bad, and the ounts with good cards are referred to first draw ounts.

Some yers will try and grind a first draw ount, some will even make many ounts and try and sell them.

There wasn’t a point for other mobile card games to try and limit this. This was abination of the low value of cards, low yer base, and inflexible drawing probability, and wouldn’t do much harm to the game.

But Onmyoji was different. Because of the huge yer base and the probability of drawing cards, the cost of SSR cards are incredibly high. This created a huge first draw ount problem in the game, which was bad for both the yers and the developers.

Therefore, Chen Mo decided to limit creation of ounts as much as possible, increasing the cost of creating first draw ounts to prevent abuse.

This also solved a huge problem Onmyoji had when it was first released.

It didn’t take long before everyone was immersed into Onmyoji.

Chen Mo wasn’t ying as he had his eyes in the reviews. Onmyoji’s reviews were really high so far, maintaining around 8.8. Most of them were five star reviews with a few one star reviews.

There were a lot of bots among the bot reviews. Although some were better hidden than others, some were really obvious, overstating the ws of the games.

There was feedback and insults, but the yers who liked the game were in the majority.

But many of the yers expressed that they are finding it can’t to understand the game because of how different it waspared to other mobile card games.

There were many tagging Chen Mo on Weibo, asking for some tips.

Chen Mo decided to post a Weibo.
